Emarsys integration

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Seamlessly sync contact data and triggerable events from your Experiences by Jebbit to your Emarsys lists. Collected attributes map directly to Emarsys contact fields. Additionally, a "Jebbit Event" is sent for campaign automation in Emarsys.

Before you begin

  • Request an integration with our team.

  • Confirm you have an active Emarsys account with API access.

  • Gather your Emarsys API credentials (Username and Secret).

  • Defined the specific data fields you intend to map from your experience to Emarsys.

Create an Emarsys integration

Follow these steps to securely provide Experiences by Jebbit with access for the integration.

Create an API user name and secret

  1. Log into your Emarsys instance.

  2. Or, under Admin > Security Settings in the Emarsys application, create the API username and matching secret key.

  3. Check off all permissions for the following roles:

    • contact

    • contactlist

    • field

    • externalevent

  4. Go to the contact section in Emarsys.

  5. Click View List for the desired contact list.

  6. Copy the Contact List ID from the page URL.

  7. Provide the Contact List ID to Experiences by Jebbit.

Experiences by Jebbit uses the provided API username and secret to configure authentication according to Emarsys' API requirements.

Copy API Integration Information to a .txt file

  1. Copy the API user name, secret key and Contact List ID into a .txt file.

  2. Include your name and company name in the name of your .txt file.

Example File

File Name:

John Doe - Company A.txt

Content:

User Name: jebbit_API

Secret: xxXXxxXXxxxxxXXXX

Contact List ID: ########

Submit your .txt file via dropbox file request

  1. Transfer the information from your .txt file via Dropbox file request via the provided URL.

Set up an email trigger in Emarsys

For detailed instructions on creating a triggered email in Emarsys, consult the Emarsys support documentation. Use the “Jebbit Event” as the Trigger Source.

Next steps

  • The integrations team will confirm when the setup is complete and will be in contact regarding timelines and testing.
