Scoring outcomes in Experiences by Jebbit are designed to assign users a score based on the number of questions they answer correctly within an experience. This feature is particularly useful for trivia-based experiences, where it's essential to provide users with feedback that reflects their performance accurately.
Before you begin
Ensure that you’ve created the desired outcomes within your experience.
Access the outcome menu
Navigate to the Builder Map or a specific screen in your experience.
Select the Outcome menu via the Builder Map or select Add Outcomes via the Editor.
Click the Scoring tab.
Fill in the details for the outcome such as, Outcome Name, Heading, Outcome Description, URL and Minimum # Correct.
For a quiz with five questions for example, create outcomes for each possible score (e.g., 0 to 5 correct answers). Ensure there is an Outcome for getting no answers correct, getting one answer correct, and so on.
Note: Each outcome has a "Minimum # Correct" value set, indicating the minimum number of correct answers required for a user to be matched with that outcome.
Map scoring logic
Navigate to Outcome Logic tab in the left navigation bar.
For each question, mark the correct responses. All other responses on that screen will be marked as incorrect by default.
Click Save.
Next steps
Test your experience to verify that users are matched with the correct outcomes based on their responses.
Utilize the Overlay Responses feature to provide real-time feedback to users on their answers.
FAQ
I don't see the option to mark responses as correct or incorrect?
To see Scoring Logic in the Outcome Logic menu, you will need to make sure that "Scoring" is selected on the Outcomes menu first. Once you do this, you will see the option to mark responses as correct and incorrect on the Outcome Logic menu.
For some reason, an incorrect banner is displaying when I submit the correct response to a question?
It's really common for users to use the Overlay Responses feature with Scoring Logic. Adding an Overlay Response to each question will allow you to show a user whether their response was correct or not in real time! You will need to be careful and make sure that the Overlay Responses that you create are consistent with the Scoring Logic that you set.
