The Sweepstakes Export feature in Experiences by Jebbit allows you to generate a randomized list of winners from participants who have submitted entries through an experience. This tool is essential for marketers running giveaways and contests, making it simple to define winner selection criteria and export the data you need.

This feature automates the winner selection process while ensuring you remain compliant with contest regulations. You can specify the number of winners, exclude duplicate entries, and control which participant attributes appear in the final export.

Before you begin

  • Confirm you have an active experience that includes a lead capture component.

  • Finalized your giveaway rules and entry criteria (e.g., attributes like email, first name, last name).

  • You're aware of any data compliance considerations (such as EU data regulations).


Export sweepstakes winners

To generate your winner list:

  1. Navigate to the Question Analytics page for the experience tied to your sweepstakes.

  2. Click the Export button. This is the same export option used for exporting question-level data, attributes, leads, and more.

  3. In the export menu, choose the Sweepstakes tab. You'll be prompted to define several export criteria.

  4. Enter the number of winners you want to select (e.g., 2 winners, 10 ticket pairs, etc.).

  5. The system currently supports Random selection only. Winners will be chosen at random from the pool of valid entries.

  6. (Optional) specify any participant attributes that must be present in a valid entry, such as:

    • Email

    • First name

    • Last name

    • This ensures compliance with sweepstakes rules.

  7. Define which data columns you'd like included in the export (e.g., selected attributes, opt-in status).

  8. Enable the checkbox for Exclude duplicate emails to prevent multiple entries from the same email address from being selected more than once.

  9. Select Regional Data.

    • If you're not collecting entries from the European Union (EU), check the appropriate box to exclude EU entries.

    • If you are in the EU or targeting EU users, ensure proper compliance by leaving this unchecked.

  10. Click to email the export as a CSV file. The file should arrive in your inbox within a few minutes (typically under five). If the file doesn’t appear, reach out to your Customer Success Manager for assistance.

Note: You will only see the ‘Sweepstakes’ option appear for experiences that have lead capture. If no leads were captured, the ‘Sweepstakes’ tab will not appear.


FAQ


​Is there a way to track how many 'winner' exports have been completed already?

  • In V1, we do not currently show this statistic. It is best to never delete any Sweepstakes export, so you can easily search for them in your inbox.

What does the email look like?

  • The title of the email will read: 'Your Sweepstakes CSV is ready' - the sender is '[email protected]'. It will have one large gray 'click to download your csv' button.

Which email will the export arrive to?

  • It will arrive at the email associated with your Experience by Jebbit login.

When should I generate my export during my sweepstakes?

  • Each sweepstakes you run will have defined periods of time where the winner is selected. Most commonly, we recommend waiting until your sweepstakes has completed before generating the export to ensure all participants have a chance at winning.
