Export question data from an experience

Updated over a month ago

The Question Analytics dashboard in Experiences by Jebbit offers insights into user interactions within your experience campaigns. Exporting this data enables a deeper analysis at the user session level, allowing you to examine specific interactions, responses, and attributes collected during each session.

Before you begin

  • Confirm you have access to the Analytics section of your experience campaign.

  • Identified the specific data range and type of export required for your analysis.

Create a question data export

  1. Navigate to your desired experience campaign.

  2. Click on the Analytics tab to enter the main dashboard.

  3. Within the dashboard, choose Question Analytics.

  4. Set your desired date range for the data you wish to export.

  5. Click on the Export button located on the right side.

  6. In the export menu, you'll find several options:

    • Event Level Question Data: Provides detailed user-session interactions and lead capture data depending on the settings that you apply before you export.

    • Aggregate Data: Offers a summary of data by screen without individual user details.

    • Event Level Attribute Data: Displays user sessions with attributes collected during the session.

    • Event Level Product Data: Breaks down which products each user interacted with, clicks or views.

  7. Select the specific data fields you wish to include in your CSV file.

  8. Decide whether to:

    • Include consumers without lead capture.

    • Exclude duplicate emails.

  9. Choose the appropriate region under Region Data (e.g., EU or Non-EU) based on your data origin.

  10. Click Email CSV. The CSV file will be generated and sent to your specified email address.

Note: If there are any issues or delays with export delivery, you will receive an automated email with more details. Otherwise, expect to receive the report within a few moments. The link within the email that you receive will expire in 24 hours.

Next steps

  • Utilize the exported data for in-depth analysis, reporting, or integration with other tools.

  • Ensure timely download of the export file before the link expires.

FAQ

How do I export all the user response data from the quiz?

  • The data that is included in your export will depend on which settings you check off before you 'Email' the file to yourself. Be careful to include data even if there is no lead capture detail, and to include duplicate emails, if you want to see data for every single user session.

Am I able to see Opt-in information in the Event Level Question Data?

  • The Event Level Question Data file shows you data for everything. Every Header in the file references a screen by the screen name. If your opt-in checkbox is on your Lead Capture screen, then you will see opt-in details within the Header that starts with the name of your Lead Capture screen and opt-in. You will see TRUE if a user has selected the opt-in and FALSE if the user did not.

How long does it take data to populate in the exports?

  • Data populates in the dashboard and exports almost instantly, but it can sometimes take up to five or ten minutes.

The number of emails captured in my export does not match what I see in the dashboard?

  • If the amount of emails that you see in your export does not match the figure in the dashboards for Lead Capture then there are several variables that you'll want to consider. The first is that the Lead Capture metric in the dashboard is not de-duped. It is a count of every single time the 'submit' button is selected on the Lead Form. If email is not a required field in your form and a user submits the Lead Form without an email, then you will see the Lead Capture tally go up, but there will be no corresponding email in your export. You will also need to make sure that your export represents every data session and that you are not excluding any data in your export when you make your comparisons. Lastly, it is possible for the data in your export to be higher than the figure in your dashboard. It's normal for the export to have more data within 1% of variance. Reach out to our Support team if you are unsure of how to validate your dashboard figures against what you see in your exports.

I have renamed some screens in my Builder Map, but I am seeing columns in my Event Level Question Data export that show the old screen names, as well as the columns for the updated screen names. Is there a way to remove the older screen names?

  • Experiences by Jebbit will include all versions of a renamed screen in the Event Level Question Data export. This is because we want you to see historical data as well as current data for each screen. You do have the option to Archive screens, and Jebbit does allow you to exclude data from Archived screens before exporting.

If I map attributes to a launched experience, will the attributes backfill to sessions already captured?

  • If you have mapped attributes to an experience that has already launched, then you first need to make sure you have published! Then, the attribute should backfill onto previous sessions, but it can take a little bit of time for the script to run. If you check back a day later, and you do not see that the attributes have backfilled for you, reach out to our team.

I have a form that allows users to upload files. How can I download these submitted files, like receipts or images, for viewing?

  • To download and view submitted files, download the export and click the provided image URLs. You'll then need to download each file individually. Note that these URLs have an expiration date. However, accessing the files is always possible by downloading a fresh export, which reactivates the image URLs. Although the links expire, they are not permanently inaccessible, they become live again with each new export download.
